- Myth arc for the win. Regardless my soft spot for horror and action packed episodes, there's nothing like a good, dark episode stuffed with tons of mythology and complots. I like.
- You are a better man than your daddy ever was.
And Bobby's a better father (figure) than John ever was. Don't get me wrong, I heart John despite or, precisely, for all his faults. But John's dead and Bobby seems to possess just that piece of wisdom or insight more that John was missing.
So I'm glad Bobby managed to make Dean focus and boost up Dean's self-image a bit. Sometimes it's so hard to believe that a cocky bastard like Dean has got so low an opinon of himself.
Brilliant acting from both Jim and Jensen in that scene. It was both a blast to watch the acting and a pain to witness the characters's pain.
Also, Sam's words from Fresh Blood come to mind, "I wish you would drop the show and be my brother again."
- Whoever is responsible for that camera shot of Zack in front of the mirror, being multiplied endlessly, is a genius. Nice one!
- You can take your peace and shove it up your lily-white ass.
You gotta love Dean's graphic descriptions. Hee. And I'm so proud of the guy. What's all the fake peace for if you've got no one to share it with, or no world to spend it in? Dean already is his own little Russell Crowe, but in the battle he chooses. Not in the battles that are chosen for him. And if it were to me, he and Sam will kick Lucifer back to hell together. What's it with their obssession with one-man missions anyway?
- Screw it.
That voice mail killed me dead. Both actually. The real one because of its true emotions and the fake one because it hurts and stands for the extent of the evil they're all puppets to. *chokes up*
- We're making the story up as we go.
Cas, I forgive you. The prospect of seeing him on the wanted-dead-or-alive list in heaven next season makes me all excited. What, I have a thing for disobedient angels. Besides, he's got those puppy eyes going for him.
Speaking of Cas, that tinny sound effect when Dean hits him in the face is awesome. Cas is like Superman only with Batman's voice, yes? *loves*
- I'm awesome.
Well, I gotta give Ruby credit. She's one devoted, manipulative little evil bitch. Or was. She's got what she deserved. But then, she called Sam Dumbo. Therefore, I cannot hate her.
- I've been waiting for this for a very long time.
I thought they did a marvellous job with that scene. The buzz that drowned out everything else except the exhilaration of vengeance and hate symbolized by the hearbeat gave me chills. Sam was so far gone in that moment that it hurt. It hurt because of what that innocent boy has become. And more so because you knew what he was about to set free and what he was about to lose.
Never let a man imagine that he can pursue a good end by evil means, without sinning against his own soul.
Oh Sammy!!! *clutches* All those good intentions and still it ends in light and fire. And you could practically see the horror on his face once Sam realized what he'd done. Sure, he was played from both sides but that guilt in his eyes was so heartbreaking. I can't help but think God and Lucifer now share the same enemy. And they're called Sam and Dean Winchester.
- Well, I hope there's an "after" for all of them. However hard they'll have to work for it, I'm sure they will.
So, summer hiatus. Who came up with that anyway? *sammypout* I hope there'll be fanfic. The more the merrier. *goes back to corner and rocks self*
