You know I've been looking at routes and vacation plans for over a month now. Just trying to figure out what's possible and what's not.

Yeah. I was just wondering whether this was still regarding Texas in March or if you'd decided to spontaneously go somewhere in October or maybe to Chicago Con or something :-)

When I was planning my trip, I used priceline.com quite a bit, it gives you a nice idea of what airlines are cheapest for your route. I sometimes found that going to the website of the airline would give you a slightly lower price than the one listed on priceline though.

Well, I'd like to do a week of Texas and take a detour to L.A. on the way back. Maybe. Still juggling numbers.

- farecompare.com

I will say that I haven't used any of these sites personally, but I've seen the last two recommended on the travel sections of news websites quite frequently. I've looked at all three of these myself, and they're pretty helpful for figuring out which airline offers the best bet--even if you decide not to buy through them. As was mentioned here, too, if you go to the actual website of the airline themselves, that sometimes cuts costs.

Spirit Airlines is about the cheapest you'll find. I fly with them sometimes :)

You can check Yahoo travel, Delta, Southwest is really good.

Just google it. That's the easiest way to do it :D
