- Goodbye Sam.
That one killed me. Dean, you can be a real Dick sometimes. You even called your(older)self on that which was amusing as heck by the way.
- We want you to marinade a bit.
Yes please. When done, I'll have a bite to go. I gotta say this rugged Dean is rather hot, and breaks my heart. Mayor kudos to Jensen here. He absolutely nailed this older version of Dean giving him a hardened, haunted look that carries a deep sadness underneath multiple layers. He's a broken man who has nothing to lose and no scruples, his only aim to end the mess he and his brother started.
The moment he tells his past self how he was wrong stands out here. You could tell how much that realization has cost him and how much he regrets the choices he made. And his comment about losing refers to far more than the apocalypse.
- Does the punishment fit the crime especially when I was right?
You know, Lucifer's a fanboy which grants him sympathies alright. As does wearing this pretty meat suit. *tips halo* I really liked this whiff of grandeur about him - the glowing white clothes and the calm, soft ways amidst all that destruction and debris.
And I love Dean's analogy. Leave it to him to point out the flaws the angels have and how their sins are just the same. Nice one.
- See you in 5 years.
Now I'm dying to get a sneak peek on how Sam ended up saying yes to the devil. I'm seeing tears and pain and a good story. Kripke? Fanfiction writers? Yes, I'm looking at y'all.
- More than that, we keep each other human.
Yes, finally the epiphany we've all been waiting for. But where's the manly hug? Cheaters.
Loved this from stoned human!Cas over toilet paper hoarding to the brilliantly ill-timed Dirty Dancing music and generally dark, end-time-ish feel. Perfect mix.
Next week looks like fun.
